A Farewell from Morrey's Nursery

After 114 years of growth and greenery, Alison closed the gates to Morreys nursery for one final time on Friday, March 29th 2024.
From our humble beginnings in 1910 on the edge of Delamere forest in 1910 Fred began the nursery growing cut flowers for the Manchester flower market.
His descendants of Ellis and David who many of you will remember with great fondness, and now Alison, have all been honoured to serve generations of garden enthusiasts with our extensive range of trees and plants.
We look back with pride on the community fostered at the nursery, none of which would have been possible without the dedicated and skilled workforce, who have braved every element to cultivate such high quality plants and maintain this unique nursery. Therefore we want to thank all of our staff past and present for their excellent work and wish them all the best for the future.
The nursery wouldn’t have been as successful as it is without our devoted customers; so whether you come from local villages or far afield, thank you for your support and your kind wishes upon hearing the news of our closure. It has been a pleasure to develop so many enduring relationships.

Alison and everyone at Morreys
